Dr Kalbag Rehabilitation Center

Dr. Kalbag Rehabilitation Center was started in year 1997 with the help of rotary club, Bombay airport, by providing Jaipur feet free of charge to needy people. Then the center started vocational training for physically or mentally handicapped children satisfying following criteria:
  • Age is 18 years or above
  • Successful completion of formal education in the spacial schools for handicapped.
There are over 50 students participating in vocational training. Course duration is of two years. It covers workshop participation depending upon the mental and physical ability of the students. Training also covers daily yogasana and meditation practice. Studunts’ workshop produce following items:
  • Chocolates
  • Paper bags
  • Liquid soap
  • Essence sticks
  • Greeting cards
  • Embroidery on handkerchief
  • Kitchen napkins
  • Table napkins
  • Finger puppet
  • Door hangings
  • Writing pads
  • Instant rangoli
  • Diyas
  • Gudhi
Other activities at center include:
  • Outing — visit to mall, markets, park, temples
  • Cooking — Basic cooking, cutting, peeling, roasting, boiling etc
    • Festival celebration — All festivals such as Friendship day, Dahi handi, 15th August, Rakshabandhan, Teachers day, Navaratri, Diwali, Christmas party, 26th January, Dhulivandan are celebrated in the center
