Citizen vigilance wing was started in year 1961. It attends to civic problems related to cleanliness, public health, pollution, traffic control, transport system, road repairs, hawkers zone etc. It attempts to secure co-operation of residents on one side and municipal staff, state officers and officials of public utility organizations on the other, in solving civic problems.
